A Muslim Singer Behind Scenes |

"Jeewan Chanicka, a writer and counselor for
IslamOnline.net, recently pursued a silent passion by releasing his new
CD- The Prophet's Song. While known primarily for his public speaking,
community work, and his Ramadan Reflections series, Jeewan said that
the CD was the culmination of over "ten years of musings that were
written quietly and kept somewhere in a file".... "

 Jeewan headlined the Muslimfest concert held on August 1st at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. He performed the title track to his album, "The Prophet's Song" to cheers from a crowd that joined in. Spectators referred to the performance as "amazing" and said that they "could not wait to hear more."
MuslimFest celebrates the best in Muslim arts and entertainment. The
event featured over 50 local and international artists who showcased
their talent in various areas. Concerts featuring popular Muslim
artists, comedy shows, a multicultural bazaar, and a kids carnival were some of the fun things at MuslimFest.
